We are outraged by the killing of a 37 year old woman who was shot inside her car by an ICE officer in Minneapolis.
This death is the direct result of the Trump administration’s “anti-immigration” agenda. These raids are designed to intimidate, provoke, and generate fear. They are not about safety. They turn neighbourhoods into enforcement zones and routine encounters into deadly ones.
The Trump administration’s policies threaten public safety, community safety, and workers’ safety. When enforcement is built on spectacle and force, violence is not an accident. It is the outcome.
We demand:
- The arrest and criminal charging of the ICE officers involved
- An independent investigation into the operation and use of force
- An end to Trump’s “anti-immigrant” agenda
- The immediate removal of ICE from communities and an end to federal immigration enforcement that terrorizes workers and families
- End to all ICE raids
- An end to excessive use of force and unlawful detentions
- Justice and real accountability for the communities targeted and harmed
We stand with workers and community members who protect their coworkers, neighbours, and families from ICE raids and attacks. No one should be killed because a government chose fear over safety.
