The Ontario Federation of Labour’s Equity Committees unite workers from 54 affiliated unions to lead the fight for justice, dignity, and inclusion in every workplace. These committees are powered by the voices of Indigenous, Black, racialized, 2SLGBTQIA+, disabled, and women workers, those who know that equity isn’t just a principle, it’s a necessity.
Unions have a critical role to play in advancing equity. From pushing for inclusive language in collective agreements to confronting discrimination on the job, equity must be embedded in everything we do.
Everyone deserves a safe, respectful workplace where they can thrive free from discrimination, harassment, and exclusion. Through organizing, education, and collective action, we’re not just reacting to injustice, together, we’re building an Ontario that works for all of us.
