Fenner Dunlop lockout ends after 165 days

USW 7949 members are returning to work after a 5-month lockout. Workers were locked out in February 2021, after turning down a final contract offer that drastically changed paid sick days, shift premiums, and income security.

Myles Sullivan, assistant to the United Steel Workers District 6 director told the Bracebridge Examiner, “The local union and the bargaining committee were successful in backing the employer off the vast majority of their concessionary demands.”
