2021 OFL Labour Honour Roll

The Labour Honour Roll acknowledges the significant contributions of OFL members to the life and growth of the trade union movement in Ontario.

Bob Borch Human Rights Award

The Bob Borch Human Rights Award honours union activists that ensure equity and human rights are at the forefront of labour actions.

Cliff Pilkey Labour Activist Award

The Cliff Pilkey Labour Activist Award recognizes the outstanding contributions of a worker, or retiree, who has made a significant impact on the labour movement and community.

Linda Jolley Lifetime Achievement Award for Health and Safety

The Linda Jolley Lifetime Achievement Award for Health and Safety is awarded to someone who has dedicated their work to improving the lives and working conditions of Ontario workers.

OFL Labour Council Builder Award

The OFL Labour Council Builder Award recognizes the outstanding efforts of an individual who embodies the spirit, ideals, and goals of building strong Labour Councils.

OFL Cultural Award

The OFL Cultural Award is presented to someone who has made a unique and important contribution to the culture of the trade union movement or who, through their work, has advanced the concerns of working people and social justice.

Olivia Chow Child Care Champion Award

The OFL’s Olivia Chow Child Care Champion Award recognizes leadership in the fight for universal, high-quality, affordable, and non-profit child care.

2021 Winner: Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care

OFL Young Workers’ Award

The OFL Young Workers’ Award recognizes a young worker or youth activist who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in mobilizing and empowering young workers or youth activists to create change in their workplaces or their communities.

2021 Winner: Sarah Jama

Prevention Link Disability Prevention Activist Award

Prevention Link’s Disability Prevention Activist Award goes to a worker’s compensation activist who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and perseverance in advancing disability prevention or accommodation issues in the community and/or workplace.

2021 Winner: Steve Mantis

Solidarity & Pride Award

The Solidarity & Pride Award acknowledges and celebrates individuals or groups who have made a significant or ongoing contribution to the advancement of 2SLGBTQI+ human rights, equity, and inclusion.
