The Sudbury and District Labour Council (SDLC) and its affiliates will once again be hosting their annual Labour Day in the Park on Monday September 3rd 2018!
This FREE festival will kick off with a proclamation and speeches at 10:00 a.m. Next there will be a solidarity march followed by activities and entertainment for the entire family throughout the day (until 4:00 p.m.).
This festival will be supporting local food vendors and local talent on the stage! There will be something for everyone!
This year’s theme is Pharmacare: A Plan for Everyone…as no one should ever have to choose between paying for groceries or the medication they need.
Labour Day in the Park reminds us of all the work-related standards that we take for granted every day and it keeps the labour movement close to home, at Bell Park, ensuring that many workers and their families can participate. It’s an important day to recognize the role that Sudbury workers have in building a strong and healthy community, and to celebrate working families for everything they have achieved.
Join is in having fun in the sun while supporting #pharmacare, local people and your community! We hope to see you there.
