In recognition of World Environment Day, let’s talk about climate and environmental justice, and the groundwork we need to lay to ensure we have a government that prioritizes climate and environmental issues and a more sustainable future for Ontario.

On Thursday, June 3, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., join the Ontario Federation of Labour for a Town Hall discussion on climate and environmental justice with NDP Climate Crisis Critic Peter Tabuns, NDP Environment Critic Sandy Shaw, NDP Natural Resources, Forestry and Mines Critic Judith Monteith-Farrell and NDP Indigenous and Treaty Relations Critic Sol Mamakwa.

MPPs Tabuns, Shaw, Monteith-Farrell and Mamakwa will discuss the work they are doing to address climate and environmental justice issues (i.e., implementing the development and use of innovative, clean and low-carbon technologies and processes, banning single-use plastics, applying a fair carbon pricing system, ensuring access to clean drinking water in indigenous communities, creating green jobs, establishing supports to transition to a net-zero economy, etc.,) and their initiatives going towards the 2022 provincial election.
