Today’s rally of hundreds of elevator workers and their supporters got immediate action from the Government of Ontario when the Ministry of Labour ordered both parties back to the table to resolve the labour dispute. These workers, who were being prevented from keeping the province’s 50,000 elevators in operation by an employer coalition that was putting profit ahead of safety, are eager to get back to work with a fair contract.
