Yesterday the Ontario Common Front hit the provincial scene in a big way with the launch of a report on Ontario’s growing inequality that dominated the media and put a spotlight on the harsh impact of cuts to jobs and services.
The report was produced by a coalition of over 90 not-for-profit organizations, unions and community groups across the province (including the OFL) and detailed how Ontario has fallen behind all other provinces in terms of income inequality, rising poverty and inadequate funding for services.
The report was covered extensively by media outlets across the country. Here are a few examples of the excellent media pick-up:
Toronto Star Editorial – “Ontario is falling behind as an equitable society”
Globe and Mail – “Ontario worst province for growing gap between rich and poor: report” (this Canadian Press article ran also ran on CTV.ca, Ottawa Citizen, Winnipeg Free Press, Vancouver Sun and many other outlets)

Newstalk 100 Video – “Coalition Says Ontario is Falling Behind”
