After an 8-week strike, members of LiUNA! Local 3000 reached an agreement with the Victoria Order of Nurses (VON) in Sarnia.
Workers went strike on May 1 after the Victoria Order of Nurses refused paid sick days, health benefits, bereavement leave, fair overtime compensation, or a reasonable wage increase. The agreement reached with the employer covers all the major issues that forced them on the picket line.
