Members of UFCW Local 175 at Mobile Climate Control have gone on strike as of October 21, 2024.
The members at Mobile Climate Control manufacture Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial and heavy-duty vehicles and machinery. Mobile Climate Control is a global supplier to international markets with clients in the construction, mining, and defence sectors, to name a few, and is a subsidiary of VBG Group AB.
In August, the employees at Mobile Climate Control gave their Union Negotiating Committee a strong strike mandate of 99%.
Pickets are active in both Mississauga and Vaughan.
