Support Education Workers

Education workers are fighting to protect and expand the services students rely on.

Education assistants, library workers, administrative assistants, custodians, early childhood educators, child and youth workers, tradespeople, nutrition service workers, school safety monitors, social workers, and more, are vital to Ontario’s public education system. They keep our schools healthy, safe, clean, and accessible.

Unfortunately, years of cuts have led to dwindling one-on-one support from Educational Assistants, school libraries without library workers, and school boards cutting corners on custodial and maintenance staffing, and more.

Education workers are at the bargaining table asking for:

  • Decent wages that pay the bills
  • Equal pay and equal benefits
  • Preservation of paid sick days
  • A designated early childhood educator in every kindergarten classroom
  • Staffing ratios that make it possible for everyone to do their job with the care and attention students deserve

But Stephen Lecce and Doug Ford are refusing to ensure that these workers receive the supports they need.

Help protect and expand the services that students rely on.

Pledge to support education workers and tell Ford’s Conservatives it’s time to get back to the bargaining table, bargain in good faith, and respect workers’ rights.
