Nearly 9,000 LCBO workers, members of OPSEU/SEFPO, will be in a legal strike position at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 5. The workers are fighting for good jobs in every community, to protect public services, and to keep the LCBO public.
The LCBO generates $2.5 Billion in annual profit– revenue that gets invested in public services such as health care and education. If Ford succeeds in privatizing the LCBO, that revenue would go to billionaires instead.
Public services, including public sector jobs, will be at risk.
That’s why we must prepare now and build the strongest solidarity possible.
Here’s how you can help:
- If a strike proceeds, join a picket line on Saturday, July 6 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at a location near you.
- Like and share this OPSEU/SEFPO post (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X), and explain why you support LCBO workers.
- On Thursday, July 4, participate in Solidarity Selfies for LCBO workers. Pose with this downloadable sign.
