Fighting sexism in the workplace. Women and other equity seeking groups do not have the same opportunities to career progress in the workplace and are stuck in low paying jobs. In addition the workplace does not allow a birth parent to access 13 weeks of paid parental leave following the pregnancy leave.

Fighting employer attempts to pay less than the low capped entitlements granted under Provincial Legislation Bill 124.

There is no room for discrimination in the workplace. We call on the IHSA and it’s Board of Directors to end sexism in the workplace.

We need help with media coverage to highlight that:
1. The union is prepared to work within the confines of Bill 124 but is not prepared to accept less. We will fight the constitutionality of the legislation through the courts.
2. The workplace must work with the Union to end sexism in the workplace.
