Ontario-wide Boycott declaration of Canadian Niagara Hotels Inc., lifted effective immediately

June 28, 2019

Effective immediately, the official OFL Ontario-wide Boycott declaration of Canadian Niagara Hotels Inc. has been lifted.

As a result of the successful negotiation of a first collective agreement by the courageous members of Workers United Canada Council Local 2347 at the Rainforest Café Niagara, who endured a grueling 80-day strike, we are pleased to announce the cessation of the official OFL boycott declared on May 9, 2019.

I want to thank all OFL affiliates and community partners, their activists and allies, and specifically the Niagara Regional Labour Council for their solidarity and support for these members, while they undertook this important labour action.

As a result of the boycott ending, the following Canadian Niagara Hotels Inc., properties and services are once again available to be patronized by OFL affiliates:

  • Crowne Plaza Hotel
  • Skyline Hotel & Perkins
  • Sheraton on the Falls Hotel
  • Clifton Victoria Inn
  • Marriott Fallsview
  • Rainforest Café
  • Hard Rock Café

Once again, congratulations to the members of Workers United Canada Council Local 2347 and thank you all for your commitment to solidarity action.

With the power of many, our movement is a mighty force.
