Please find enclosed a submission by the Ontario Federation of Labour on needed labour law reforms.
We appreciate your Government's announced changes to the Labour Relations Act, particularly concerning unfair labour practices and interim relief, yet we remain concerned that card certification has yet to be extended to workers other than those of the construction trades.
We also remain disappointed that your announced list of changes is so short when so much needs to be accomplished. We have therefore identified a more challenging list of provisions with positive suggestions for reform and specific amendment language for your convenience.
We trust that you will find our proposals helpful and would appreciate an opportunity to discuss them with you at your convenience.
