TORONTO WELCOMES OFL’S DRIVE TO WORK CARAVAN 3,000-KM TOUR ENDS AT QUEEN’S PARK, 12:30 P.M.,

(TORONTO) -- A 3,000-km province-wide tour to draw attention to the recession’s effects on Ontario people and communities wraps up Thursday, June 25 with a 12:30 p.m. arrival at Queen’s Park, followed by a meeting with representatives of the Ontario government.

The Ontario Federation of Labour’s Drive To Work province-wide tour is headed to Woodstock, Ingersoll and Sarnia on June 17th and 18th. The Caravan is travelling 3,000 km to over 50 cities in Ontario to find out how the recession is really affecting working people.

FROM SUDBURY TO BRAMPTON DRIVE TO WORK HEADS TO BRAMPTON CARAVAN ARRIVES 4:00 P.M. JUNE 15

(TORONTO) -- The Ontario Federation of Labour’s Drive To Work Caravan will be heading south from Sudbury on June 15th to Brampton. The province-wide tour has already talked to thousands of people across Ontario since it launched on June 8th and gathered their stories, ideas, letters, and videos along the way. “We will take the messages from all these people and communities to the Premier,” said OFL president Wayne Samuelson.

(TORONTO) -- The Drive to Work Caravan launched in Oshawa on June 8 will be travelling to Hawkesbury, Ottawa, Renfrew, Pembroke, North Bay and Sudbury.

(TORONTO) -- “We’re here to listen to what people have to say about how the recession is affecting them and their communities,” said OFL officer Terry Downey who is travelling on the Geraldton Caravan as it heads to Sudbury to join the other Drive To Work Caravans on June 13th. “As we travel through community after community we can see and hear what people, families and communities are going through.”

DRIVE TO WORK TOUR EXPANDS - ANOTHER CARAVAN LEAVES GERALDTON JUNE 9 HEADING FOR LONGLAC, HEARST,

(TORONTO) -- Another arm of the Ontario Federation of Labour’s Drive To Work Caravan leaves Geraldton Tuesday, June 9th. The OFL’s province-wide Drive to Work tour started today from Kenora and Oshawa and will travel to over 50 cities across the province. The caravan will cover 3,000 km from June 8 – June 25th and finish in Toronto.
