SEPTEMBER 28, 2011On September 28, 2011 the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) is organizing a one day workshop on the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal. The Tribunal has been in existence since 2008 and is a key component of human rights legislation in Ontario.

The workshop provides an opportunity to learn from the experiences of labour and community activists on how the tribunal functions and the impact on your members. It will be of interest to affiliate leadership and activists.

A draft agenda for the workshop is attached. The cost of this workshop will be $110.00. A registration form for this workshop which will include lunch is attached.  Please send the completed registration form together with cheque payable to “OFL Workshop on Ontario Human Rights Tribunal”. We expect space will be limited and registrations will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. Please return registration with your cheque no later than September 23, 2011.

Hotel Arrangements - Participants are responsible for making their own hotel arrangements. To book your hotel room, please contact the Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites at (416) 449-4111 or toll-free at 1-877-476-6835 and indicate you are with the OFL to obtain the OFL room rate of $105.00 plus parking and taxes. Room reservations must be received before 5:00 pm September 6, 2011 in order to be given the rate quoted above. 

Child Care Registration Form - It is OFL policy that we will provide child care services if more than ten (10) children are registered for this service. The Child Care Registration Form must be received by September 21, 2011 as we must make arrangements with the child care provider.

Personal Assistance Request Form - Every effort will be made to address the accommodation needs of delegates. If services are needed please complete and return the attached Personal Assistance Request Form by September 7, 2011.
