1. Any request to issue an appeal in support of a strike/lock-out in Ontario must be sent in writing by the Head of the Union in Ontario to the Secretary-Treasurer of the OFL and must contain the date the strike/lock-out commenced, the number of members on strike/lock-out and a synopsis of the outstanding issues.
2. No appeal will be issued by the OFL until the strike/lock-out enters the 60th day.
3. The OFL contribution to such an appeal will be the cost of mailing a provincial strike/lock-out appeal.
4. Requests for support of strike/lock-outs in progress that are either national strikes/lock-outs and/or outside of the jurisdiction of the Ontario Federation of Labour will be presented to the OFL Executive Board for authorization on a case by case basis, provided the Head of the Union writes to the Secretary-Treasurer of the OFL outlining the date the strike/lock-out commenced, the number of members on strike/lock-out and a synopsis of the outstanding issues.
5. Requests for collections to be taken up during the OFL Convention in support of strikes/lock-outs underway at that time must be directed to the OFL Executive Board for a decision during convention.
