OFL Awards Post-Secondary Scholarship to Talented New Students

For 29 years, the OFL has awarded two scholarships for post-secondary studies, worth $2,000 each, in honour of retired or deceased trade union activists who have contributed to the labour movement in Ontario.

This year, a record number of applications were submitted and the winners were selected by a subcommittee of the OFL’s Workers Under 30. Committee based on a blind evaluation of essays submitted.

The OFL is proud to recognize scholarship winners Michelle Jones from Oshawa who will attend Trent University’s Geography program and Adam Kerr from Mississauga will study at University of Toronto’s Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering.
