Ministry of Labour Employment Standards, University Avenue, Toronto, ON, Canada

On Wednesday October 24th, join for us an emergency action to let government know their betrayal will not go unnoticed.
WHERE: Outside Ministry of Labour, 400 Univeristy Ave.
WHEN: 5:00 PM

Doug Ford betrayed Ontarians on Oct. 23. Putting corporate interests ahead of workers’ needs, his government announced a real dollar wage cut for minimum wage employees, in addition to cancelling two paid sick days, fairer scheduling rules and the right to equal pay for equal work. These rollbacks no doubt will hurt women, workers of color and newcomers, who are over-represented in low-wage, precarious jobs, the most!

Doug Ford government has no mandate to cancel our new labour laws. Over 66% of Ontarians support and expect the $15 minimum wage scheduled for January 1, including 62% of small business owners and over 40% of Conservative voters.

Even if you can’t come in person, help us spread the word. Rolling emergency actions across Ontario will be taking place over the next days, stay tuned for updates via http://www.15andfairness.org
